Onions, Lettuce and Spinach, Oh my!

by Donna on May 19, 2009

Here’s a little photo update from our garden. Things are growing great! We had to rush outside last night to cover our precious strawberries so they would survive the frost. Other than that, things are growing and we are super busy keeping up with it all.

Here are a few pictures I took after I laid down all the straw!

Tomatoes and Peppers - these aren't doing so well after being transplanted... we may have to pick up some plants.

Holy cow! Your garden IS big!!! What is sweet chard? You honestly have things in your garden that I don’t know what they are!!! How are you going to store your garlic after it is ready? That seems like a lot of garlic. Overall I am VERY impressed!

Swiss Chard is like Spinach or Kale. It’s kinda tough I’ve heard. It’s not growing very well but we’ll see. I have to read up on storing the garlic and potatoes. It’s going to be overwhelming I’m sure! I’ll be making tomato sauce, salsa, jams and freezing peas forever!
